China 1941-6, censored and RETAINED, via Pacific to Lisbon

China – registered letter from Shanghai (September 02, 1941) to Lisbon (February 21, 1946) with transit through New York (March 10, 1941) with postage of CNC$1.00 (pair of stamps of 50c, Yv282), to pay first postage (50c) and registration premium (50c), Shipped by sea via Pacific, passed censorship in Jamaica (censor strap 5577), and was retained by censor 59266 under registration no. 44208, as it may have contain sensitive content. After the end of the 2nd World War, it was RELEASED (red handstamp in front, type II) and sent to Lisbon in February 1946.
